March 28 Updates: New Class Time, T-7 days ‘til Couch to 5k!
Hi, friends!
It’s been a long but lovely week of covering sessions for colleagues at the Y (that’s right - I’m also a trainer at the Y if you’re a member there and looking for a trainer there, or know someone who is!) but was made much better by two warm days where I could come home in the middle of the day and eat lunch in my hammock. What a dream! The cold weather this weekend is a bit of a bummer but, as my partner and I have been reminding each other, every day is one day closer to Local Burgy reopening…
A non-fitness related thing I learned recently: Not turning the heating pad off under your seedlings after they germinate can cause them to get leggy! So once most of those seeds germinate, turn off the heating pad and turn on that grow light!
A fitness-related thing I’ve been digging more into: calf strengthening. Such an important muscle yet so often under-trained. And very important for being able to enjoy running.

New class time - Sundays at 5pm
This one is for my friends who have trouble making it to a weekday class, or need a little something to get them through the Sunday scaries. Starting Sunday, March 29, join us on Sundays at 5pm for a strength-based high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, with plenty of guidance before, during, and after the workout. All fitness levels are welcome!
Class packs are available here in quantities of one, four, and eight and must be used within the month. Want to check out a class to see if you like it? Just buy one pass! Planning to come once per week this month? Buy four! Planning to come twice or more per week? Buy eight! And as always, the sliding scale is available if you need it - keep reading for more about that.
