May 18 Updates: Summer Schedule & Programming

Hi friends,

Spring is in full swing! Many folks in the Couch to 5k Program are already up to running 5k in their long runs. Some HIIT Strength Class participants are doing their first full push-ups. Strength Training Foundations is just over halfway through and participants have learned so much about how to warm up for a workout, bodyweight exercises, and use of resistance bands, dumbbells, kettlebells and medicine balls. Powerlifting 101 is halfway through its current round and everyone is doing an excellent job at paying attention to their bodies to know when to push forward and when to hold steady as they increase their weight loads.

I continue to be amazed by the community we’re building and the way folks are supporting each other as we learn and grow together. I am so honored to be a part of y’all’s journeys.

As we get closer to summer, I wanted to share some programming updates - all good things!

Summer Programs and Schedule

Note: There will be no classes, programs, or training sessions June 15-19 and July 13-19.

HIIT Strength Class (Ongoing): A 55-minute beginner-friendly circuit-style strength training class. Drop-in when you like! Monday and Wednesday at 6pm, Sunday at 5:30pm. Register here. (If you get hooked and think you’ll be attending at least two classes per week and/or want app-based programming in addition to in-person classes, check out the TransFit Core option below!)

Powerlifting 101 (June 22 - Aug 6): Barbells can be a fun way to spice up your strength training routine and feel super strong. Learn how to bench press, deadlift, squat and overhead press in a small group environment. June 22 - August 6. Mondays and Wednesdays at 4:30pm OR Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:15pm. Join the waitlist to be the first to register.

Strength Training Foundations (June 2 - July 2): For folks who have never lifted weights but want to learn how in a supportive small group environment. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30am. Register here.

NEW! Slow Run Club (Beginning July 26): Join your foothill neighbors as we travel slowly down the bike path starting at the trail head in Haydenville. Running pace maxed at 12mph. Walkers welcome! Sundays at 4pm. Join the waitlist to be the first to register.

Interested in a listed program but can’t make it at the time it’s offered? Let me know by joining the waitlist and putting that info in the comments - I’ll see what I can do!

Other Ways to Work with Me

Whether you’re looking for accountability, individualized programming, in-person support, or simply a more sustainable relationship with movement, Transformation Fitness WMA offers several membership options designed to meet you where you are. Register by June 30 and get three months of programming for the price of two months!

TransFit Remote – A structured remote strength training program delivered through the Trainerize app, featuring monthly programming, exercise demos, and guidance you can follow from your home gym or local gym at your own pace. Register here.

TransFit Core – A hybrid option centered around in-person group strength classes, combining community-based training with additional structure and support outside of class. Register here.

TransFit Coaching – A higher-touch coaching option that includes personalized programming, regular check-ins, collaborative goal-setting, lifestyle support, and ongoing adjustments to help build sustainable habits over time. This approach can be added on top of 1-on-1 coaching, a program, or regular class participation. Register here.

Folks Worth Checking Out

Shannon Wade, Bodyworker and Functional Movement Trainer. Shannon is the owner of Ripple Studio, where some of my classes and programs are held, so I wanted to give a shout out about the work that she does there. Check out her Monday evening functional movement classes which are offered at a much lower intensity than my strength training classes - but still guaranteed to support the way you move through daily life!

Abide Wellness Community. Nathan McElligot and Anna Severin are the owners of Abide Wellness Community, where I offer personal training and some programs. Nathan offers biodynamic craniosacral therapy, biodynamic bodywork, Tibetan crystal acupressure, and private meditation instruction.

Deanna Scarfe, Licensed Massage Therapist. Deanna recently moved into the Abide Wellness space and is offering massage sessions on Fridays. She can be reached by phone call/text at 413-296-1796 or by email at ds.breathe@gmail.com.

Jen Batty, Menopause and Chronic Pain Support Health Coach. I met Jen at The Sphere’s small business networking event last Friday and immediately knew that some of you would benefit from knowing her! She lives in Burgy, is lovely to chat with, and is currently enrolling her summer cohorts of menopause support groups and webinars.

Have someone you’d like to suggest I connect with? Let me know and I might include them in my next newsletter!
